"HEN RYABA" FAIRY TALE
Once upon a time in some village there lived an old man and his wife. They had a hen by the name Ryaba. Once the hen laid an egg; not a simple egg, but a golden one. So the old man with his wife started beating the egg. Old man bated and bated and couldn't crack it. Old man bated and bated and couldn't crack it either. A small mouse ran by, swung his tale, the egg fell down and cracked. The old man and his wife started crying, but the hen was saying: "Do not cry, old man! Do not cry, old woman! I will lay a new egg for you, an egg that will not be of gold, but a regular one."
