Trout - This attractive and mild-tasting fish is a smaller member of salmon’s family. The cool, clear waters of lakes and ponds in Russian virgin mountain forests produced the most superior trout. Although Trout has been difficult to find in Russian stores since the 1917 revolution, it has always been admired for it’s versatility and remains a historically important ingredient in Russian cuisine dating back centuries.
