| Description:
Siomga is loved and considered a delicacy by Russians everywhere. It is sliced thinly and should be accompanied by lemon slices. Other possible garnishes are parsley, dill, lettuce leaves, and/or olives. Captain – Cold-smoked Captain Fish, also called Sea Bass, is light gold in amber in color, very delicate and piquant in flavor. Trout - This attractive and mild-tasting fish is a smaller member of salmon’s family. The cool, clear waters of lakes and ponds in Russian virgin mountain forests produced the most superior trout. Although Trout has been difficult to find in Russian stores since the 1917 revolution, it has always been admired for it’s versatility and remains a historically important ingredient in Russian cuisine dating back centuries. Traditional part of "Zakuski" menu served with vodka.
