 Pirozhki With Fish Filling

 Description
There was no any holiday in the Rus without pirogi (pies). Pirogi were a must on wedding, Christmas, birthday and christening tables. Russian cuisine knows a great number of recipes for pirohi and pirozhki with various fillings and of different forms.
 Method
Put margarine, salt and mayonnaise into flour and chop with a knife, and then knead dough until homogeneous. Roll out into thin sheet and cut out squares 10x10 cm. Chop onion finely and braise until light golden, add fish slices, salt and shredded garlic and fry until done. Season with salt, sugar, pepper and tomato paste and heat on low heat. Put the filling in the center of squares, brush with a beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven 200-230 C for 15-20 minutes.

  • 200 g flour.
  • 100 g mayonnaise.
  • 100 g margarine.
  • 1 ea egg to brush.
  • salt.
  • Filling:.
  • 500 g fish fillet.
  • 50 g tomato paste.
  • 5 g garlic.
  • 75 g onion.
  • 50 g oil.
  • 5 g sugar.
  • ground black pepper.
