 Description
Prianiki is a favorite sweet. In old days every Russian people had their recipes of prianiki, therefore they were called by the names of Russian cities: Tulskie, Vyazemskie, Moscowskie, Tverskie, Vologodskie, Suzdalskie. There are different inscriptions on them: “To whom I love”, “Eat with pleasure”, “Happy New Year” etc.
 Method
Heat honey and stir it in melted butter. Add eggs and flour with baking powder and knead dough. If it is too stiff, add some water. Roll out 2 cm thick and cut out prianiki of different shapes. Bake at two times: first put in a hot oven 320C for 2 minutes, take out and cool down. After that bake in the oven 250-270?. Then cool down and cut lengthwise. Spread with boiled until thick jam and stick the layers. Glaze with caramel syrup.

  • 1 c sugar.
  • 6 tb water.
