 Roast Beef

 Description
This unusual recipe for roast beef, seems to be very tasty.This recipe is taken from ancient Jewish cookbook and was written in Old Slavonic language. Trust your sense of proportion and you will succeed!
 Method
Toss beef, salt it and leave in the fridge for 24 hours. Sprinkle with cloves, bay leaves, spices and pepper. Then put beef in vinegar, press down, cover and leave for 8 hours. Cleanse meat. Lard beef if it is not fat. Take a pot for baking, put a bread crumb on the bottom, then put meat, top with spices, chopped onion, lemon slices and pour over sauce made from vinegar, beer and water. Cover tightly and bake in the oven with average heat for 2 hours. Add some water if needed. 30 minutes before finishing, add sugar and grated pryanik. Drain the sauce and serve it in a separate bowl.

 Ingredients
  • 1 kg beef chuck.
  • 200 g fat.
  • salt.
  • cloves.
  • bay leaf.
  • 9% vinegar.
  • bread crumb.
  • spices.
  • 1 ea onion.
  • 1 ea lemon.
  • 1 ea pryanik.
  • sugar.
  • Sauce:.
  • 100 g 9% vinegar.
  • 50 g dark beer.
  • 50 g water.
