Mushrooms have always been a regular part of Russian cooking and are often substituted for meat. Mushroom picking in the forest is a frequent family outing.
Method
Saute mushrooms and onions in butter and lemon juice for 4 minutes. Stir in flour. Cook slowly, stirring 1 minute. Add sour cream, dill, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir 10 minutes. Serve warm on toast.
