 Description
Pisken Balyk is translated as Boiled Fish from Kazakh. It is a national Kazakh main dish.
 Method
Cube filleted fish. Melt fat in a skillet. Put in chopped carrot,
potato cubes and fish over. Fry chopped onion until it is light brown
and put it on the fish with tomato paste. Pour boiling water over so
that it covers all ingredients. Add salt and spices. Stew on a low
heat until it is ready. Serve in deep plates with chopped greens.

  • 1 kg sazan (carp) or cat-fish.
  • 100 g carrot.
  • 100 g onion.
  • 50 g oil.
  • 50 g fat.
  • 75 g butter.
  • 175 g tomato paste.
  • 325 g water.
  • 750 g potatoes.
  • salt.
  • spices.
