 Beef Pochlebka With Groats

 Description
Pochlebka is an ancient thick farmer soup. Before serving fried flour is added in soup.
 Method
Cook beef broth with a carrot, roots and salt. Drain when it is ready. Cut the beef in slices.
Boil barley in another pan, until it is crumbly. Put it in the broth. Chop an onion finely, cut p?tatoes, turnip, asparagus in cubes. Put all ingredients and spices in the broth and boil for 15 minutes, add cooked beef and bring to boil. Fry flour on the oil and stir in the soup.
Pochlebka is served with chopped parsley and dill.

 Ingredients
  • 500 g beef.
  • 1 ea carrot.
  • 1 ea parsley root.
  • 1 ea celery root.
  • 1 ea onion.
  • 1 ea turnip.
  • 6 ea potatoes.
  • 5 ea asparagus.
  • 1/2 c pearl-barley.
  • 1 ea bay leaf.
  • 5 ea pepper cloves.
  • 3 l water.
  • 2 tb flour.
  • salt, greens.
