Terrific, easy and fun... A wonderful Russian dish!! I think the key is the fry pan (didn't want to use a lot of oil and the Bliny must not stick to the pan). I used a T-Fal type, Silverstone or Teflon is OK too. My Russian husband was VERY surprised to see and eat such nice Bliny. It was my first time making this. Yeah!! Jos |
Bliny Bliny should be made with yeast and not baking soda.The dough has to rise before using it. Boris |

KOOL!!!!!!!!! i love bliny! i made 3 other recipes for blini, and none were this great! in school, my friends and i r doin a project about maslenitsa, and its a pancake holiday, so were usin the bliny recipe from this site! McKenzie |
Bliny rulz! I just returned from St Petersburg. We had Bliny at least 3 to 5 times at this little Bliny stand by the metro. You can eat it with jam but there was also chiken or ham and chesse asst meats ect.It was as thin as a crepe but much better. They cooked it on a 12 inch round pan. Please try it! Derek |
